Mullabrack senior ladies kept the pressure on in Division 3whey they defeated Clann Eireann II in Ballindarragh on 19/7/08.

Mullabrack opened the scoring with points from Rachael McGeown and Shauna Gallogly but Clann Eireann responded with a goal and tagged on a further two points. Rachael McGeown levelled the game with a well taken goal but the visitors ensured the half-time lead when they added a further three points. Half time score Mullabrack 1:2 Clann Eireann II 1:5.

Aided by a strong breeze in the second half Mullabrack forwards made good use of their possession With Shauna Gallogly scoring a goal and two points, Rachael McGeown bagged her second goal, and points from the boot of Leanne Murray and Toni Morgan gave the home side a seven point lead. However Calnn Eireann fought back scoring a goal and two points. Mullabrack were reduced to fourteen players and the defence had to work extremely hard not to conceed any further scores. Shauna Gallogly scored two excellent goals and Rachael McGeown tapped over a further point to seal a well deserved victory. This was a brilliant team effort with Gemma Rice, Christina Crilly and Leanne Murray working particulary hard.
