Mullabrack Ladies GFC v
Keady
Mullabrack senior ladies visited Keady in the first league match
of the season on Saturday evening 31/03/07.
The Keady girls started strongly and moved the ball with great
pace and soon had a two point lead. However Shauna Gallogly found
the Keady net and Mullabrack took the lead. Keady responded quickly
with a goal. They added another a long with two points with Shauna
Gallogly scoring twice for Mullabrack to leave the half-time score
2:4 to 1:2 in Keadys favour.
In the opening minutes of the second half Keady found the
Mullabrack net again but Mullabrack attacked immediately with
Michaela Dougan palming the ball to Lisa Fields who scored
Mullabracks second goal. Keady added a further three points to their
tally but Faye Rice was outstanding in defence and prevented further
scores on numerous occasions. The Mullabrack girls fought back hard
with Michaela Dougan scoring a great goal and Gemma Rice adding a
fine point to leave the final score 3:7 to 3:3, the league points
going to Keady.
