Mullabrack Ladies GFC v Forkhill
Mullabrack senior ladies secured their third consecutive victory
when they beat Forkhill comprehensively on Saturday 7/7/07.
The Mullabrack visitors opened the scoring with points from
Shauna Gallogly and Toni Morgan before Forkhill registered their
first point. From then on Mullabrack took control of midfield and
Shauna Gallogly scored her second point. Christina Crilly sent a
long range ball to the back of the Forkhill net and Toni Morgan
scored a second point. Lisa Fields palmed the ball to the back of
the net to increase Mullabracks lead further. Toni, Shauna and
Christina each added points before half-time to give the visitors a
comfortable lead at the interval 2:7 to 0:1.
Shauna Gallogly opened the second half with two well taken points
before Forkhill registered their second point. Mullabrack defended
well in the second half with Josie McSorley maintaining a clean
sheet by bringing off several good saves. Dearbhla Corvan was
excellent in defence and a long with her team mates Forkhill were
limited to four second half points. Up front Shauna and Christina
tagged on further points to ensure another two valuable league
points for the ‘Brack. Final Score 2:11 to 0:5.
